Because currently Kobo have not enabled auto push for the Touch to beyond 2.5.2.

Hi guys !

Do you know if the next firmware (after 2.8.1) will fixed the bug on bookmarks that can't be delete by the menu when we use main memory?

Another thing : we can adjust the screen to refresh anywhere between every page to every 6 pages, do you think that in the next firmware it can be increased (for example 1 to 24 pages) ?

the bug is still here, the only way is to use a sd card

Look at the Model: at the bottom edge of your reader.
N905 and N905B are the original touch, N905C is the low cost.

If you want 2.8.1, you don't have a choice, since there is only one file. To be on the save side you could install only the KoboRoot.tgz. This is, according to DavidFor, what the B tester do, irrespective of what model they own.
In previous versions, the difference in the KoboRoot.tgz, apart from fonts and image files, concern
drivers\ntx508\usb\gadget\arcotg_udc.ko
drivers\ntx508\usb\gadget\g_ether.ko
drivers\ntx508\usb\gadget\g_file_storage.ko.
This is, again according to DavidFor, no problem.

Thanks! drivers\ntx508 is not a problem for me because these drivers are not used in my Kobo Touch. It uses drivers\freescale. So, I can give it a try ...

When you a reading with light "ON" but very low, can you see is a very small flicker of leds ?

I commonly use my Glo (2.8.1) with 1% light, but have not had this issue.

I get this, just 1 little flicker every few seconds, hardly noticable but surprisingly annoying.

Well lets say YES and NO.

YES... because sure you COULD put the image on an SD card

NO... because it would not work.

Also these are not images but rather (in effect) zip files that contain files that a script on the kobo uses to replace files on itself, and not an image that overwrites the entire card.
