Updating firmware without direct Internet connection
Subject pretty much says it all.
I have not yet received my Iliad, however, when I do, I will be taking it overseas to a place with limited Internet connectivity. While I expect that I will have access to the Internet, it very well may be that I have to use the provided computer(s) and cannot attach the Iliad directly to the network. So... I'm thinking that one option would be to download the update to, say a USB flash drive and copy it over to my laptop. From there, is it possible to update the Iliad's firmware, either through a crossover cable, by attaching the USB flash drive directly to the Iliad, or some other method? Thanks. |
