Safe download software
I have tried to access several free ebook libraries but every time I tried to install the download software my antivirus protection goes on high alert. Are there any free ebook libraries with virus-free download software?

No download software. No virus. Just press download.

Much good book all free.

Why do you need additional software to download free ebooks? That should be your first warning. If you need more than your browser you should run away.

As others have pointed out, gutenberg.org and MobileRead's library are virus-free and you need no additional software.

Go to Ebooks in the banner across the top, choose a format, choose a book, click on the download link. Choose where to save it, open in the ereader of your choice.

Each book has their own download link. After the book description, there is an "Attached Files" box. The download link is in that box.
