Question about Goodreads

Do you know how on Facebook if someone posts a lot of obnoxious stuff, but you don't want to get into an unpleasant discussion with them by defriending them, you can just make it so their stuff doesn't end up in your newsfeed without defriending them? Is there a way to do that on Goodreads? Does anyone know?

You can show updates only from Top Friends
http://www.goodreads.com/friend
click on Edit Friends and put who you want in top friends, than show only updates from those people.

There is no block like on facebook, but this is the good workaround providing you dont have massive amount of friends lol

You don't have to discuss anything with them, unless they work in your office. Man up! Kick the loud mouth to the curb.

But anyway, I am glad you found a way to do it in an unobtrusive way.

I ignore everyone. I only look at the groups tab, I never look at the feed page. Ever.
