So, he's been here for a while and still has no avatar. We had such good luck with Queen Zee's that I thought we'd start one for him. So, here's my contribution:

I'm deeply flattered by this (especially given the first suggestion... or is that flattened?).

However, avatars are potentially very dangerous; I really don't want to have to explain the activities of The Collection (it might upset cstross). However, I've had the following image cleared by the collection....

After all, her royal Zeeness views my abasement as making me something of a drip, and it does rain a fair bit in Scotland.

Alternatively, something by Aberlado Morrell, ideally from "Book of Books" would be fun.

Let me see if I can get any of the others cleared.

it's about time you took care of this. i'm glad pshrynk et al were able to jolt you out of your torpor.

for the record, i never called anyone a drip. i simply expressed my (fervent) desire that you avoid groveling, as it is unworthy of you (and The Ministry).

Just noticed I slightly mis-spelt his name: it should be Abelardo Meroll; hopefully you found the right person. T'other half and I were lucky enough to pick up a copy of "a book of books" for about £10 at Beyond Words (photographic bookshop) in Edinburgh. I'd recommend people to keep an eye out for it -- some fabulous images (of books) in it.

I'm beginning to get worried by the directions this is taking.... I'm going to have to put my contact at The Collection on overtime.
