![]() And she's already working on my brain I, I only looked in her eyes But I think of something I just can't explain. I'm pickin' up good vibrations She's giving me excitations I'm pickin' up good vibrations She's giving me excitations Good good good good vibrations She's giving me excitations Good good good good vibrations She's giving me excitations ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0yoiBYbT2I ) Good morning, all. And a special good morning to Pin Cushion! Sorry to hear of your pointed lesson in Feng Shui, and glad that daughter and beer were on hand to help deal with the problem. Aloe with lidocaine (Sold as 'Solarcain') helps with the pain. A propos the Feng Shui comment, "cactus should NOT be kept inside the house. They are good luck OUTSIDE but bad inside (with the exception of succulents that don't have sharp spines such as Christmas Cactus or similar.) The sharp 'killing arrows' (as the sharp points are called) keep negative energy from entering the home. Inside, these 'killing arrows' can get you when you least expect it! I'm having a quick breakfast of Assam tea and miso soup, and then off to Kobe in search of Keemun tea today. I'll take the train so I can spend most of the day reading instead of driving in traffic! It is good that I don't do the daily song, I have all sorts of great children's lullabies...
Formula for Lucas, I had water with my Five Guys. And a white chocolate mocha at Starbucks. |

He shoots! He scores!!!!
700gm of unbranded Keemun tea was found today. We'll actually, I found a lot more than that, but that what I bought in Kobe's Chinatown district! Packaged in the same 100gm packs that my little (now defunct) Chinese used to sell, even with the same label and at the same price, ¥300 (about $4 USD.) I guess the importer provides the labels for the shops, as I bought from two different stores and both used identical stick-on labels but both did their own bag filling! I found some in the first shop I entered, but the tea was rather loosely packed so I only bought 200gm from them. But further down the street (Kobe's Chinatown is only on one street and is two blocks long) I found another shop that used a vacuum sealer bagger so I bought another 5 packages. Then further on, I found an Oolong and Pu-erh specialty store that had some outrageously expensive teas for sale! They did have a Keemun but they wanted ¥1250 ($15) for 100gm. Based on the fact that I prefer the $5-jar caviar to $75oz caviar, and prefer the ¥350 Green Japanese tea to the ¥2500 Green Japanese tea, I decided I would probably like the cheaper Keemun too so left the shop! I bought a lot of other goodies while I was in that district, stocking up on dried shrimp, dried scallops, several different soy sauces, jugs of preserved mustard greens, fermented black beans, dried sheets of tofu skin, and a slew of other foods. I even scored a package of sweet duck sausage... but that has to get saved for next weekend's 'off-diet' treat. So right now I am drinking my new unbranded Keemun, a great big smile on my face, and wondering just how I'm going to explain the seven bags of tea sitting on the kitchen table to my wife... I agree wholeheartedly that the cacti shouldn't be in the house (this isn't my first mishap with the little bleeders - a little while ago I couldn't stop my reflex action of catching one as it fell from a window sill, and ended up with "killing arrows" in both hands). I have mentioned the fact they they need to be moved often, to the extent that my wife is getting tired of hearing it. "But they are my babies, I've nurtured them since birth" etc. etc. The UK weather isn't exactly conducive to outdoor living for many plants - not sure how cacti would cope (at this point, not sure I care). Black coffee, accompanied by a breakfast biscuit. |

Sounds like a very successful day Stitchawl. Reading, train ride, tea, lots of Chinese goodies. I totally would love to find an Oolong and Pu-erh store. That would be all kinds of awesome.
Lucas is fighting my cold from last week, mainly his nose is stuffy. It is a dam good thing that we don't remember anything from this age because I am not sure how many of us could love our parents if we remembered all the suctioning and other crap they did to us. Sure it makes him feel better but it has to be scary having this person towering over you with a weird looking thing sucking crap out of your nose. Toss in the indignity of diapering and every or would be working with a shrink by age 2. |

This is what I am using.
http://www.amazon.com/Nosefrida-Aspi...I2BAPPAN3PDUXC It works so much better the the bulb things. A little baby saline spray and then a good couple of sucks and he is all cleared out. It looks weird and sounds gross but it works great. |

![]() All alone at the end of the of the evening And the bright lights have faded to blue I was thinking 'bout a woman who might have Loved me and I never knew You know I've always been a dreamer (spent my life running 'round) And it's so hard to change (Can't seem to settle down) But the dreams I've seen lately Keep on turning out and burning out And turning out the same So put me on a highway And show me a sign And take it to the limit one more time ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwASi...eature=related ) Good morning, everyone! A wet day in the Kansai, and I'm drinking more unbranded Keemun tea (and grinning like a mad fool!) I must have had 3-4 large mugs of the stuff between dinner and bed time, and spent most of the night alternating between sleeping and waking up to run to the loo. It was worth it though. And, between you and me, it could have been worse. I might not have woken up... Another train ride today, this time into Osaka. As long as it's raining so hard, and I'm too damn lazy to put on my waterproofs (rain gear for us 'Merkins,) I may as well go down to the computer district in Osaka and see if I can find an auxiliary fan for my tower. The sort that can fit into a slot in the back of the cabinet, and pull some more heat out of the tower. I had one for the last few years but I guess the bushings in the blade wore down and it began making just too much noise. These things are cheap; just $4-$5 dollars for one, and 30 seconds to install. I keep my computer on 24/7 so I'm really conscious of heat build-up. The more fans the better! This one sits right under the video board and helps keep that cooler too. Quote:
