you can read the comments people leave when they give you karma by clicking on "User CP" in the blue menu bar (top left), then scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Indeed. I have an 8-liner from Queen Zee. I think Zelda deserves an award for Most Enthusiastic Giver of Thanks and Hugs and Kisses. Or maybe she should be ordained Queen Heraldress of Heraldry and Thanksgiving. So be it! Release the Gibbon of......okay, maybe that's over the top.

i've already been ordained Queen of Unutterable Silliness, and i'm pretty sure you can't accumulate those mandates, so i don't think i can be Queen of anything else, but an award for Most Enthusiastic Giver of Thanks and Hugs and Kisses would be fine with me.

look at that, a new personal record : i now have an EIGHT line karma message. i didn't think it could be done. and it would have been longer, clearly, if tirsales hadn't run into the character limit, since the comment ends abruptly mid-sentence...

I tried to find a listing of the full title, but she's Queen of something like 16 countries and the entire Commonwealth, as well as some tradtional Dukedoms and such. It would rival a Queen Zee karma posting in length.

I have many of those "no comment" tributes as well; it's like a feeling of elation (receiving karma) and followed by emptiness (no comments). A bit like unrequited love—you put forth all your efforts only to be teased with nothing...

It does, however, remind me of a remarkable line in a TV adaptation of Twain's Prince and the Pauper, namely (and I paraphrase):

"I shall take a slackened jaw, as a similar sign of respect", said the young Prince upon his first introduction to the Pauper!

So maybe actions do speak volumes....
