live streaming advice?

I can't stream directly from a radio station website (the downloaded .mp3u file doesn't play). Installing winamp and realplayer didn't help.
I kept getting a message that this type of file couldn't be played.
Finally, after installing mediau (I think that's the name of the app) was I able to play this file.
Anybody know what is going on?
I have a pocket edge with the golden ermine update installed.

What can and can not be played depends on the codec that the app uses.

It appears you found an app with the required codec in the end.
