Request Streaming Audio

Any way to stream audio? I am looking at a website that streams audio and you can open it in a web player, java web player (neither load because it says I need flash 9 and java enabled).

I can also DL an .m3u file and a .ram file however nothing will open it on my PE. I have android 1.6

Hi! I'm no expert!
I have a PE and i can listen to internet radio. I have updated to Ermine ( 2.2 android) though! I read on this forum about Dolphin HD browser and i downloaded it. I love it and what's best, if i open the site on this browser, it plays those .m3u files!

It would appear many of the things you want to do require android 2.1 or up. That makes it decision time - do you want to use those, if so then you have to upgrade to Ermine. If you want to keep on 1.6 then you will have to forgo all those things.

Hmmm. I'm sticking with Dingo, and I can listen to Internet radio just fine. And that's streaming, mind you, not a downloaded podcast. I do think that some streaming stations have issues with their service, and the problem has nothing to do with the listener's system. Some of my favorite online stations do not play correctly...they either don't play at all, or stutter or play for 10 minutes or so, then fail. This is as true for my Windoze laptop, as it is for my Pocket eDGe.

In addition to (or instead of) Dolphin browser, I suggest installing some radio or podcast apps. I use Slideme.org's app, and search "radio"...you'll find tons of free streaming apps to choose from. Most work in Dingo, so don't worry about upgrading to Ermine beta, which can do serious damage to your device anyway.

Nothing to do with Ermine beta. Most streaming radio apps work perfectly fine in Dingo. I know, because I listen every day to online radio stations (both talk and music), with my Pocket eDGe in Dingo.
