My brother was a really fussy eater when he was younger, but the one thing he'd always be guaranteed to gobble up was sausages.
Once, when he was about 4 (I would have been about 6) I came downstairs to find him sitting in front of the open fridge with a huge carving knife beside him and a packet of sausages in front of him (he'd used the knife to open the packet

)
Saw this and went into a complete panic (worried about chopped fingers etc) until I noticed that he'd taken one single bite out of each sausage in the pack then discarded it.
When quizzed why, it was because he was hungry but the ones he tried didn't 'taste right' and he was trying to find some that did!!!
