They already expired next year, but they are still worth a fraction of a cent (it says so at the bottom in the small print).

That is good, Honorable Undersecretary of Doing Stuff. We call them "work studies" around my office.

You get a jetpack and relish tray of melon balls at the 5th/-5th anniversary of your hire date. At 10/-10 years, it's a platter of chicken fingers, but watch out and don't choke on the fingernails.

We'll put you in the hopper to be considered. Marc is in charge of vetting the VP field. He got fired for some "shady" business deals, but rightly pointed out to me that you can't fire the Arbiter of All reality.

Although-- you might just get the VP slot if you would agree to let me use "Admin" in my user title after I return to the private sector job with the Ultimate Question Research Team. I have a very funny explanation of the job title I have picked out, but it's not the same if all that everyone sees is Utilization ***** as the new job title.

Just a little sucking up to Moderator Woman, champion of all that are correct spellers and took a handwriting course in grammar school.

As Personnel Manager and Secretary of Paradoxial Timespeak, I'm currently taking applications/bids/bribes for the position of VP.

Oops! I didn't realize Marc is/was handling/manhandling the VP selection. As such, all/all/all bribes should be sent to Attn: Personnel Manager, and I'll see that he gets/never knows about/is taxed for his share.

Don't worry Dix, you get to handle the bribes -- I mean applications for the other government jobs we're handing out. Except for Igorsk and Taylor's jobs that they are being forced into for complaining about the size of my campaign literature.

Igorsk is/was/forever shall be a good choice: I feel more defended already.

Ahh, the swift, heady ordure of reality. You can arbite it, but you can't change it (well, not without a surgically precise thrust of a very, very, very long crowbar...one of which I have in my garage). Thanks for the diplomatic use of the word "shady", pshrynk - it's nice of you to minimise deals that were so dark they made the background radiation shiver.

Anyway, I can't think of any person better than Patricia for VP, and she has my full and total support, support which is as strong as is my word.

Anyway, I'm getting bored by the politics at the moment; can we liven up the campaign with some kind of scandal (preferably one that doesn't involve cigars or blue dresses)? I'm thinking something involving...umm...a pie-eating contest.

Cheers,
Marc

I got there firstest with the mostest money, I demand a Supreme Court Justice slot....

As to VP, could I suggest a pin-the-tail-on-Cthulhu contest? The last one not eaten is the VP. More fun than a pie eating scandal....

you have no idea... pie (and pie eating contests) take on a whole new level of meaning, around here.
