Actually, I was told by one of my professors in college who used to work for NASA that a rather unique problem developed on one of the Apollo missions; the details of which were never made fully public. Since this is a family-friendly forum, I'll try to describe the situation as delicately as I can.

Some procedures that are normally easily preformed on Earth are rather difficult to preform entirely without spillage in a zero-G environment. It's not for nothing, therefore, that astronauts are routinely fed a low-fiber diet. Well, a small piece of contaminant got loose and lodged itself under one of the control panels, where it shorted out some circuitry. For whatever reason, NASA never chose to reveal the details of what caused the problem.

On a similar note about a year or so ago NPR interviewed a woman who had written a book about the potential problems that will arise if and when a manned mission to Mars is undertaken. Let's just say one of the big design problems to overcome is what to do about a bodily function that here on Earth under gravity presents no great issue.

Now that would be a performance!

Many bird species carry the youngling fecies away from the nest so as not to attract predators to the site. The deed is easily done as the fecies are sealed in a rubber like film. While raising my kids I used to wish they'd perform in the same way.
