Oh, ouch! Hope he gets better!

I looked at the "novel" again a couple of days ago and thought, hmm, maybe without the pressure of NaNo I should re-outline it to whatever length it actually needs to be, instead of trying for 50k minimum.
That's the trouble with NaNo, not every story is 50,000 words long. I'm looking at 35k or so for my current project.

Nifteh.

I'm working on some new short stories to submit around the web plus hammering away at a paranormal novel. Its about a cop who encounters people with weird problems. Its due out in the spring if you're interested

Interestingly, now that I'm not working on any writing projects, I'm starting to remember my dreams... and boy, do they bite.
Looking at your blurbs, you seem to be targetting yourself at Star Trek fans? I don't think Star Trek is that much of a draw anymore (did anyone even watch the Quantum Leap one?), and people who do want that aren't short of proper Star Trek books to read anyway.

I thought I was working on a serialised novel. I've written half of it, and wanted to finish it before beginning to post except... it's going to be a LOT longer than I thought. At least 60,000 words longer. My conundrum is do I do the serialisation which will be a much bigger commitment than I initially planned, or release as an ebook. Decision, decisions.

No "happy dance" news, but I have been plugging away. I had the idea for a follow-up to my first novel and I've been working on that. I have a solid outline for another, and I plan to get to that next. I did some work on another Lisa Herbert book, but I've set that aside because I need to do some more pondering on the plot.

I got absolutely nothing written this weekend, but that was sort of by design... I needed a break, as January/February really take it out of me emotionally. Where is my spring?

The Kestral books are targeted at Trek and Firefly fans, but only them. I haven't really drawn such parallels with the other books and comparable series/authors, just with genres (hard SF, adventure, romance, etc). I'm trying more to emphasize originality and quality SF.
