I am watching SuperNatural which has psychics, mediums and ghosts. Several of my favorite things. Love this show.

Man you must be a busy bee making all those costumes. Hats off to you! You would have been the best dressed in town if you lived in those days. ![]() |

I want to make a dreamcatcher for a friend, and getting enough materials isn't easy! Leather cords can't be found in Hanoi

Whew! Just finished raking leaves for today! Heading in to a nice reward of spaghetti & meatballs! And then my recliner! As temps cool down, a human lap is now a hotly contested item!

Can't help thinking that stichy's photo looks like scarred up human skin with braiding.
I suspect this man may be deceased by now given the age of the photo. Aboriginal people may not wish to view images of people that have passed away. Spoiler:

![]() I like to make the Mexican Braid with a slightly thicker lace as it fills in the spaces between the cords and makes a nicer looking edge. This one in the photo was probably used on the edge of a saddle seat, and they needed an edge that was flatter for the comfort of the rider. Stitchawl |

Maybe we can all hope to be that clever at all those things if we live long enough!

DO NOT ACCEPT THEM! You don't have to sing like Nightingale to know how to sing and enjoy doing it. I will never paint like Michelangelo but I enjoy painting. You don't have to be 'great' to be able to 'do.' Learn as much as you can, about anything you wish to know. As a human you are capable of almost anything... I hear people say "I can't do that! I'm only human!" What a lame excuse! As a human, we've learned how to fly. To the moon and back! As a human, we've learned how to live under the sea. I've seen double amputees running in marathons. I've listened to a deaf, blind, and mute woman as she lectured to university graduating classes. As a human you are capable of almost anything... Never deny that fact. If you doubt this, even for a minute, watch the video in the spoiler below... Spoiler:
If he can do it, should you accept anything less? Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 11-05-2011 at 10:13 PM. |

That is why we sing in the shower. We are alone then (usually) and the soap doesn't seem to mind!
![]() Think about just how many professional singers there are who actually have a terrible voice yet still became stars; Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker, Dave Van Ronk, Heck, doing a Goggle search of 'Bad Singers who are famous' brings up 18 million hits! They don't sing in the shower either! ![]() Stitchawl |
