Assuming you are not being facetious (monkeys are never that way, right? ) A tablet has many uses in connecting with systems. Properly configured I could use it to do many of my Computer system support and management functions, Email, website interaction, management, design even.. etc. etc. etc. It makes a very nice navigation system, but must have the hardware to support it, Neither the NC or the Fire have cameras -- those can be very useful... ... |

The biggest issue I see with the Fire is that if you are out of wifi range then you are much more limited, but I plan only to use mine around the house, at work or at free wifi locations so I really have no issue with the EIGHT Gb memory. (stop playing monkey games with memory numbers ) |

This monkey doesn't do that kind of stuff; even on a computer. I do webmail, none of that fancy exchange stuff. My netbook has a webcam and I've never used it.

Some really important Android Apps--Dropbox , Nook and Kindle for three--REQUIRE an SD card since this is where they automatically place their storage. It may be possible to fool the Fire into thinking that part of internal memory is a card. Or it may not. |

That's what's going on with my Honeycomb tablet. All apps place there folder in internal storage thinking it's an SD card.../mnt/sdcard. The actual SD card is /mnt/sdcard2.
