@dreams
Did you have polio as a child? I thought about the polio boots, but my tights would get dirty on a wet day. |

Trying to figure out how to get home tomorrow but the website of the railway company isn't working properly.
Today is the last day at the park. This morning, after breakfast, I took a walk to the new marina part of the park. It looks really nice but they're still working on the surroundings. From there I took a walk towards the windmills on the dyke. Because it looks like it's going to rain I'm going to stay in today to read and watch A Game of Thrones. Tomorrow I have to get up early to pack and gather the laundry. I have planned an early breakfast so I can get the earliest bus towards the train station and be home before noon. |

I just applied for a pre-paid credit card at Moneybookers.com. Up until now I've been using 3VCash and although it did work okay it has some big drawbacks.
First off all you can't put money on a credit card to use, you buy a credit card for a certain amount which means that your CC number changes. Which means that when you want to buy something at an online store you often have to change your CC. Depending on how much the CC is you buy you always pay a fee of a couple of Euros and a CC is valid for only 3 months. You can move money from one card to another but that costs €2,50 (I usually buy Amazon Gift cards for myself for any amount left over). A Moneybookers card is €10 and putting money on it is very easy. Because I regularly buy 3VCash cards I spend more than €10 a year on them. Also you have your own number so no more checking if the right CC is registered to your account. Also since the CC doesn't expire I can always keep some money on it for impulse buys. I had to provide a picture/scan of my ID and a picture/scan of something on paper to verify my address (eg a bill). I didn't have a bill with me so I made a picture of the letter that I got from the vacation park I'm at. If that isn't good I'll make a scan of a bill when I get home tomorrow. Already I've made a list of dvd's I want to order when I get my CC. |

Yup, I made 'em! I had a costume book, which drew the outline of the pieces of the garments, but I blew them up to human size and from there, made it fit. There's a group out in the midwest here (and a separate group in the east coast of the US) which sets up a military camp (hundreds of white tents) and re-enacts a generic battle, and what cam life might have been like. Your outfit is a usual camp look. My dressier look had to be billed as "someone sight-seeing from a nearby town" since I wouldn't have worn clothes like that, as a camp follower in tents. Lots of fun!
