New model Kindle 4 just arrived at my home!

I use my phone one handed and tap the page to change it with my thumb. On the K4 I hold it at the bottom and use my left to change the page buttons. When navigating or using the keyboard I use both hands like you would a gamepad. I read on size 5 with the font Amasis that was modified specifically for the Kindle. I use Medium line spacing with the margins at 30.

That's nice. I no longer need a case for my K3 though. It's just sitting on a shelf feeling lonely now the K4 gets all the attention. I told hubby he could use it and I'd put some books on it for him. He looked at me like I was an alien. He said it was bad enough he had to read for school why would he want to read a book if he didn't have to?

It's the Kobo Touch that is the same size the Nook Touch is an odd shape. I'm sure they will be making one for the K4 it's almost like Amazon isn't allowing anyone to sell a K4 cover till an official date. I got my heart set on the Eco-Flip case by Marware. It has a place to slide your hand for holding. I'll keep an eye out on JAVOedge cases though now I know they are good quality.

I just bought the timbuk2 dinner jacket from best buy. I'm still on the fence about it - it seems rugged, has a strap in the back for one handed holding, but the button placement on the kindle requires that you only place your finger tips through the strap...not the most comfortable, but it works so far. Also the price seems a bit high (about $45). I have 45 days to play with it (love the silver reward zone perks) so ill see how it goes I suppose.

Has anyone gotten either of the 2 official leather cases from Amazon? I want to see a review / user experience on them. No straps or hooks to hold the kindle in the case, just wondering how well it works.

The K4 NT lighted case from Amazon still shows as "Temporarily out of Stock" and the non-lighted one shows as shipping in 3 to 4 weeks. I wish they would hurry up and release them. I've got a Marware case but I'm not that thrilled with it as it is made extra large so that it will also fit the K4 Touch.

Does it not have a tight fit or is it the case is larger in size then you would like?

It holds the K4 NT well, but the case is apprx. 1/2 inch too wide and 1/2 inch too tall. It probably is a better fit for the Touch. It works well, but on the K4 NT it adds unnecessary bulk.

Okay as longs it's fits snugly because I plan to get the Marware Eco-Flip once that $50% off shows up.

Good deal, I've been able to get several ebooks at highly reduced rates over the past few months through the special offers. I attached a photo of the cover to give you an idea of the size.

EDIT: And I just noticed the $1 book special offer is shown on the screen! As you can see the Marware cover is NOT the best quality as far as craftsmanship. It gets the job done--protects and tightly secures the K4. But the cover looks a bit rough when opened. I would have gone with an Amazon cover had they been available.

Ick! That doesn't look sewed well together at all. Someone else has ordered the Eco-Flip so I guess I will wait and see what they say before making a final decision.

One of the special offers coming up is 50% off Select Kindle covers so I am just waiting for it to show up.

That is why I wanted to show it to you. It would be worth perhaps $15, but not the $39 it costs. I did use a SO of $5 off so I got it for $34, but that was still way more than it is worth.
