I knew that she published two books during the show (in one episdoe Booth was uncomfortable becuase of the amount of money she made from it), but what I did not know was that she had her character Kathy. So once again - The real author Kathy Reichs writes about her character Temperance Brennen, and in the TV show the fictitious Temperance Brennan writes about "Kathy Reichs".

Philip Pullman's Sally Lockhart books. Dark at times, but I really liked them.

I read one of the Kate Martinelli books and enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended.

I forget the title. It was about the murder of a Sherlock Holmes collector.

That rings a bell, yes. I thought it was very good. I actually listened to it as an audiobook, from my local library.

I read the first few Maisie Dobbs books, really wanting to like them, but I just don't. I think it's the character of Maisie--something about her just seems too remote.

How about Mistress of the art of Death by Ariana Franklin. The King of Med-evil England sends a request to Italy for someone to help solve a mystery of someone killing Jewish children. This is causing the Jewish community to withdraw (and withdraw it's tax's) into local keeps. The Italian monarch winds up sending a promising young student who specializes in the cause of death. But the student is a woman. Interesting historical study as well as good characters. |
