But really if I had to use only one source, it would be booking.com, you can search for hotels, locate them on a map, see the reviews, check availability and book online (with a credit card). Everything in one place, very easy to use and efficient.
Thanks for the tip about Booking.com, I hadn't found that one yet. My sister wants to rent an apartment but that costs at least €200 more than a hotel. For now it looks like we're going to book with the Burlington, which is a bit further from the centre than I would have liked but it's got a good price and the reviews are reasonable. Mind you, it can easily change because it will be a while before we're going to book the trip.

I'd advise looking at http://www.laterooms.com/

Despite the name, you can book rooms well in advance if you want, and I've found the prices at laterooms.com to be better than those at bookings.com

Thank you Pdurrant, I didn't know that site either. I'm going to try to book with a Dutch travel company because we (still) haven't got a credit card. If needed I'll use a pre-paid credit card but I found that eBookers.com often accepts the Dutch iDeal payment method as an alternative for credit cards.

I'm cleaning my room at the moment, it's a big mess and I'm tired of all the piles. I've divided the room in different sections and I'm cleaning one section a day, hopefully I won't get discouraged that way.

I got the iPhone 4 last year, and am still very happy with it! I'm not getting the 4s. I'm at least an every-other-year person, and since my 4 is only one year old, I'll wait. Glad you are enjoying yours!

Right. The only thing that would have spurred me into waiting on the 4S (well, besides Chris changing his mind on using a carrier upgrade...) would have been if the older generation devices weren't getting ios 5. But since they are, I am REALLY happy with my iPhone 4 and iPad 1.

I wrote earlier today that I'm cleaning up my room. Tomorrow's section is going to be around my bookshelves. Not only are those shelves full but there are also high stacks of books around it on the floor. After thinking about it today I've decided that although there are DTB books I want to keep a lot of them can go, either because I'm not going to reread them or if I want to reread them I'll get the ebook version.

I checked the website of the local second hand bookshop and you can go there to sell books before noon without having to make an appointment. I think tomorrow I'll full up the first bag of books I want to get rid off. I'm not expecting to get much money but if I keep them I won't get anything.

Procrastinating. I should be writing a research paper. But instead I'm syncing my phone, waiting for the mailman, watching it rain and posting here.

You've got rain??? You're only 2 hrs west of me. I'd better check my windows. We aren't expecting it until tomorrow night .... but we may be in for a surprise!

I'm working on my Halloween costume! I've decided to dress up like a ghost this year, so I'm working on an invisibility costume!

So, I've been trying to lose weight for about two and half months now. I'm doing well, the jeans I bought about six weeks ago are at least one size too big now. I also feel better. There's just one drawback I noticed this morning: I need to get new bras, too. I like my boobs.

On the other hand, it will get easier to buy nice looking bras, at the moment I can either buy the practical white/black/tan bras for a reasonable price or the fun looking expensive ones that you can't even put in the washing machine.
