Busy with my teas.
Throwing out what I haven't used for a while, cleaning out the tins and checking the website of the local tea shop to see if they have something interesting. I'm going to get their Chili Melange and maybe the chamomile lemon tea or the lemon ginger tea. I'm going to ask my sister if she's interested in ordering from London's Tea Palace, that way we can share the shipping costs. |

So ... this morning I scored a perfect trifecta .... feline trifecta that is ...
I woke up with a blinding migraine headache .... crawled out of bed to find my migraine pills & to throw food into the cat bowls ... bundled myself into my warmest flannel robe (temps outside had dipped into the 40's F) and collapsed into my recliner in the dark. First ... Sammy cat hopped into my lap to administer purr therapy (or to warm her feet - I didn't ask). Then ... Goldie cat hopped up ... more purr therapy (and foot warming) Then ... Stella cat (aka the Plus-Sized kitten from another planet) hops onto the arm of the chair & surveys the lap situation .... flops onto the chair arm and slides oh so gradually down onto the lap ... actually snuggling against Sammy ... more purr therapy .... All quiet and snuggly for the next hour or so .... head starts to feel better, all blood flow to the feet totally lost .... a true Kodak moment. Sigh. ![]() |

Cool! Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.
When I went to sleep this morning, Crystal and Norton decided to stage a mock fight on my stomach. I tried to ignore them as long as I could, but being as I was the arena, it proved too difficult, especially after Crystal began pouncing on my glory zone. Did I mention she weighs two tons and is roughly the same size as a Mac truck? I finally closed them out of the room and caught a few winks. |

Besides writing a blog about my reading challenge this year and my plans for next year I've been trying to find an affordable but good hotel in or near the city centre of Dublin. My sister and I are planning on visiting the city for 5 or 7 days in April or May next year. The fact that it's so far away doesn't make searching easier.
So, if anyone has any tips they are welcome. Our wish list: we want an affordable but good hotel. We're not expecting it to be four star, as long as it's clean and the staff is friendly we're happy. It doesn't have to be right in the city centre, we won't mind walking a maximum 20 minutes or so to get there. We also like to have easy access to public transport for when the weather's not nice or if we want to visit something a bit further from the hotel. Free internet access (not necessarily in the room) would be a big bonus. |

Right now I'm either suffering from a cold or allergies, waiting for my Kindle to finish charging and really wanting to send my children to bed (2 hours too early). Which would be unfair as they're behaving pretty well - Mommy is just super tired and a little cranky.

Right now I'm surfing tumblr (always a toss-up as to whether that is a good/bad decision), thinking about taking all the pdf's off my Nook because I can't read them

Trying to make myself get out and fertilise the roses since it poured last night and it looks like there is more rain on the way, but have a headache from the ONE glass of bubbles I had last night. Don't know why I bother with anything but water or coffee.

I just pre-ordered an iPhone 4s and my cheap, cheap heart is doing palpitations. It will be nice to be able to check my email on the go, finally, and I will make a lot of use of the Skype app - this will be my first smartphone (if I don't chicken out and cancel the order). I got the white 16 gig. Otherwise, I've got my Hercules DVDs playing in the background while I go through some PDF articles on my iPad. This iPad was worth every penny spent, honestly. Perhaps I'll go make some tea... Probably mint tea.

Making a back-up of important folder on my PC. I keep telling myself that I should do this every week, but it's more of a monthly thing.

My Western Digital came with software that you can set to make back-ups automatically. The only problem is that you can't set the folders yourself. It assumes you have all your documents in My Documents, all your music in the Music folder, etc. I can't set it to back-up, for instance, my Firefox and Thunderbird folders. I've been meaning to look into a not to expensive back-up program that has more options.

I'm one of those people who makes Android users want to bang their heads against walls. I actually did not like my Android phone and wanted one that did a little less - and looked good doing it. There were some features that the iPhone (or accessories for iPhone) has that Android does not, and since those features were pretty important to me, I'm now very happy. (I just know I'm going to get indignant replies about "It's not POSSIBLE that the iPhone can do something Android can't!!! I assure you, it's not only possible, but entirely factual. ). |

![]() I especially like that I will be able to sync all of my pages documents between the iPhone, iPad and my Macbook Pro (or at least I think I will, if I understand iCloud correctly). This is pretty important to me, as I would love to be able to look over and lightly edit some of my files on the go. |
