A wife has lost her husband, 4 children their father, countless friends have lost a mentor and confidant. Regardless of how one may feel about his legacy, his marketing strategies, even his technology, this is, for many, a very keen loss.

May Mr. Jobs rest in peace, and his family and friends find comfort in the love he shared with them during his all too short time on this earth.

What neither extreme seems to get is that the person under scrutiny was a normal human being who put their pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else. It is always sad when someone passes on because a unique human being has left us, but in a way Mr. Jobs is still here through the innovations he made that changed our world. And he's not suffering the effects of his cancer anymore. May he rest in peace.

Other than digital devices, there was this:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/06/bu...ies-at-56.html

Quote:
During his years outside Apple, he bought a tiny computer graphics spinoff from the director George Lucas and built a team of computer scientists, artists and animators that became Pixar Animation Studios.

Starting with “Toy Story” in 1995, Pixar produced a string of hit movies, won several Academy Awards for artistic and technological excellence, and made the full-length computer-animated film a mainstream art form enjoyed by children and adults worldwide.

Mr. Jobs was neither a hardware engineer nor a software programmer, nor did he think of himself as a manager. He considered himself a technology leader, choosing the best people possible, encouraging and prodding them, and making the final call on product design.

Nameless Being

My few thoughts:

Condolences to all that actually knew him

Damn he was two years younger than me!

I recall when the first Apple computers came out and what a technology revolution that was. Sure in my opinion, at least at the start, it was Steve Wozniak who was the primary innovator while Jobs was more of a clver marketer. Still over the years Apple has often lead the way in new products.

Ralph Sir Edward is entitled to his opinion. If you want to hear about some real mindless hatred check this out. Westboro Baptist Church tries to garner attention from Jobs death.

As a lover of technology, one can only admire what Jobs did over the years.
What an amazing life, what a too-soon-to-come death.

RIP Mr Apple
