I read some revews which says sony prs-500 freezes frequently. if it is true, it is annoying. Do you meet the same problem.

Never happend to me. The only time I had any type of problem was when charging it from flat. Sometimes it requires a push of the reset button before it will restart. But, I've never had it freeze on me.
