Oh, I see what you're getting at now. I'm not sure he has a finished product yet. |

Ohh, I like the lgp idea! Any updates? Have you considered using a lipo battery? The voltage is almost perfect, all you would need would be a low voltage cutoff circuit to protect the battery from overdischarging, and a resistor or potmeter to control brightness. Of course if you want to go fancy a circuit with constant current dimming would be very nice, but for this application I don't think it is essential. You would end up with a very flat rechargeable batterypack wich has much more capacity than the 2032 cells. Last edited by B@rt; 04-27-2008 at 06:57 PM. |

Any progress on this front lately? I want a light that can be built into either the reader or the case so I don't have to carry it along. See I currently have a standard clamp light, but I can't carry that attached to the case all the time as it would be cumbersome and I don't want to carry it in my pocket all the time. I wish the Sony had side lights like my old Palm m505 did. It was cool. If I could figure it out and do it without mutilating my reader, I'd open the thing up and install some myself, but I can't figure out how I'd get them to turn on and off even if I did manage to install them. |
