shortcut for skipping to next chapter?
Hi, there, is there a shortcut for skipping to the next chapter on Nook Simple Touch?
I find it hard to believe Touch will not have that simple and obvious feature. Am I missing something? |

not that I know of, you just have to bring up the TOC and move ahead that way. I am curios why someone would want to skip chapter to chapter, I don't mean to imply it's not a valid feature, I'm just curious how that would be useful.

Short story anthologies and other nonfiction titles where you wish to see the start of each chapter. It's a good way to skip to the beginning of the previous chapter too. With Kindle you can do it with a single touch.
Also with some nonfiction, there is a chapter TOC at the beginning (particularly a factor with the Nook, because its TOC can't show hierarchies. |

Seems like it would be useful in non-fiction books more than in fiction. I agree there is no way to do it now. You just have to go to the TOC and hope that the chapters are listed there.

ahh yes, I can see how it would be useful in a non-fiction book.

There's also 'fast page' mode (hold page button down until you see a chapter heading). Hard to control, but it might be faster even when you have to back up a little bit.
But if I had to choose between Nook ST's TOC navigation and Kindle's skip-to-next chapter navigation (which is not always available) I'd pick the TOC method. There's more context to work with. Well, that is, if they would only fix it so it works with multi-level TOC's. |

I click on "go to" and move the slider over to the relevant chapter.
