He is not dead and we don't know why he resigned. We do know that he has been pretty seriously ill of late and most people are assuming that is why he is stepping down.

I think it is fine to give the man a few days, maybe even a week, before we start discussing what a jerk he was or how he stole our money.

Why not a month? Or a year? Is it equally fine to personally attack a poster who dares discuss, not what a jerk Jobs is, but specifically how his performance in the job he was in affected said poster?

If anyone doesn't want to discuss Steve's job performance, don't. Do not pretend that doing so is somehow the height of social impropriety and beyond the pale.

Oh, please. Get over yourself. I love it how people like to cherry pick sentences out of context. At the time I made that statement we were discussing Steve Jobs health.

Maybe because when I wrote the comment we were discussing his health issues?
The poster you replied to didn't.

But back to the post....

Who cares ? I just really hate the way his business has seized control of a huge swathe of "music" under the pretext of saving it.
And by now,it doesn't matter whose in charge, it's a juggernaut....

But I'd love to be proven wrong.........

This photo, taken today, should put to rest any debate about his health. Take a look at his legs!

It's not the idea of impoliteness but the element of glee in some of the posts... the "I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone but..." types of comment. It's not impolite, at best it's childish and at worst purely vicious...

The fact people post photos like that as "news" is depressing and in such poor taste. Like gawking at accident victims. Just imagine if that were your family member before posting.

That's just disgusting. Not the man in the picture, but the picture being taken and posted in the first place. I don't care much for the company, but I do feel for the man. My family lost someone to pancreatic cancer somewhat recently, and it was heartbreaking to see them that way.
