Although my comment was meant in genuine appreciation, Diap? I'm pretty sure you'd agree with the sentiment expressed. And that would not be ass-kissing. But here's karma for the giggle, and -- believe me -- I have no desire to kiss your ass or anyone else's for that matter. Yep, Les. I've tried the corporate life several times in massive publishing operations. Most comfortable in terms of security, etc. But none of those spells lasted very long because I simply had no ability ... for ass-licking that is.

I've always preferred freelance work. OK you have maybe a hundred 'bosses' then rather than a handful. But at least to an extent, you can call the shots, and ass-licking ain't part of the job description. Nobody needs give me that treatment to boot because I don't appreciate it and they know it. Leaves a better taste in the mouth and your ass isn't damaged by fawning abuse.

Ah. That brings to mind a recent thread about being allowed to go back and edit out posts for as far back as we like. I was for it, but now it's made me look stupid...?

Apparently I've given too much karma in the last 24 hours. What the heck? That's just punishing helpful people. If I write down the posts I want to give karma for it's jsut going to end up being a Tristram-Shandy-esque proposition.
