Now? Who said anything about 'now?' Patience... He who is prudent and lies in wait for an enemy who is not, will be victorious. Hence that general is skillful in attack whose opponent does not know what to defend; and he is skillful in defense whose opponent does not know what to attack.

I can clearly see that your training was NOT sufficient. Please go back and tell your instructor you need more time spent in Military History!

Looks nice. I didn't realize that the Coca-Cola company made so many different drinks. A couple are available here, but not that one.

Do you have Calpis or Clapis Water in the UK?

No...
My big suitcase has two flat tires! Well actually two broken wheels. I was going to go out and buy a new one, but after reading Bianca's post about fixing her friend's smoke detector I decided that if she could fix an electrical device, the least I could do is fix a flat tire, right? So I spent the next several hours trying to figure out how to remove the wheels... then went out and bought a small luggage cart. Problem solved.

Back to packing... Almost time for Bombay Sapphire!

Did that last weekend. Today it's about going out to buy a new strimmer (weed whacker), as the battery for mine is dead after less than a year - won't recharge .

Didja ever stop to consider how much R&D is going on with batteries today? Trying to make small light weight ones for cars, longer lasting ones for hand tools and portable electrics/electrinics, etc., etc. Man... if we could come up with a small, lightweight, and long lasting battery.... Imagine having a laptop you could run for two weeks between charges, or an iPhone that didn't have to be recharged every day.... a vibr

OK... truth be told... I was able to get the wheels off, and we went to several different home centers and hardware stores but couldn't find any that were close enough in size to replace them, hence the luggage cart to roll my suitcase. If I had more time to order on line I could have gotten them but...

As for fixing things. I happen to be a very good fixer-uper... BUT... everything I fix works perfectly but looks really, really bad. Always. When my wife fixes something it looks as if it came out of the box new. BUT... she won't attempt to fix something that she doesn't already know about. I, on the other hand, will attempt just about anything short of organ transplants. Half the fun is figuring out where the extra pieces should have gone!

And it's now time for that bottle of beautiful blue herbal elixir!

I'm going to do like Stitchawl today and sing a little song for y'all!

Love is in the air
Everywhere I look around
Love is in the air
Every sight and every sound

And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when I look in your eyes

Good morning everyone! Oops ... I guess I should say good afternoon ... I might have overslept a little bit Obviously I'm skipping breakfast, so I'll have a cup of coffee after lunch.

so true, so true

A storm hit the city. So it's raining cats and dogs and oxen and cows this minute, and the sun shines brilliantly the very next minute.

Time for dinner, though I'm too lazy to put on the raincoat and go to the nearest Lotteria.

Weeds have been killed and Ivy hacked back. I actually had to take a hedge trimmer to it in the end. But I didn't strip it from the wall completely, as I'm concerned that doing so might cause the wall to fall down, and it's not my wall!

You're the lucky one, if you think about it, as the first to go (in December, is it?). We'll know it's coming once it happens to you, and still have hours to wait and panic

Sounds like it was horribly embedded. That's what happens if ivy is left to its own devices. Off to get my strimmer now (corded - I'm sick of this battery issue, which is also affecting my power screwdriver, which lasts about 10 mins before dying ).
