You should be able to chime in if you have an account on any Gawker Media site. "To prevent tampering with the results, votes from first-time commenters may not be counted."

Click "All" instead of "Featured." Lifehacker is a lot more selective (or just lazy?) about handing out featured commenter status than the other Gawker sites, so the majority of comments on any article are un-starred.

A survey taken almost exclusively by tech-forums types who have already drawn a line in the sand regarding their brand loyalty and want to argue in the comments section. Huzzah.

I do see a problem: most aren't voting for a device, they just say: kindle, nook, sony, etc., and they don't specify the model.
So I guess that I still like the comment that I posted before.

They opted to combine all Nooks into one category, I think partly because the nomination thread demonstrated that many people who own one Nook (whether 1st gen, 2nd gen or color) are not aware there are other Nooks out there, and so votes of "Nook" are uninterpretable. Even discounting the plain "Nook" votes, both the Color and current-gen Nook had more nominations individually than any other device except the Kindle.
