Congratulations John. Does this mean that Sigil will also strip DRM? |

A hearty welcome to you, John. I hope you have a good time with Sigil. (And woot for PDB! I've just had to extract a .pdb ebook a couple of days ago). (FWIW, I kinda hoped/guessed there's a new maintainer when I saw some issues that I am subscribed to on the Sigil tracker being re-assigned). |

Hmmm, was kinda worried who will be the new maintainer. Nice to see that it is someone everyone respects. Welcome.

I was sad to see that the original developer is leaving but it is good to see that development of Sigil in the future is in good hands.

Congrats and welcome, John! So happy to see that Sigil will be maintained and maybe even move forward. Hyperlink editor and spell check would surely make my year! |

Fantastic! It's a relief to know that the development of Sigil will continue. It's an invaluable tool for me when working on ePub files. Thank you! |

This is really good news! Sigil is a great tool, but it is far from being a complete ebook creation solution. I want to thank Valloric for his great work and John for taking it up from now on. Although the hyperlink editor and spell checker are important tools, I think a more important enhancement would be something like BookDesigner's "Element Browser", where you can search for broken paragraphs, bad line ends, etc, without resorting to regular expressions. |
