Welcome, John! If I'm not mistaken, you've done some work with Mobi in Calibre (at least), so I'm sure the whole community will benefit from your maintaining an ePub editor like Sigil. Good luck. |

Hi John. You are so welcome. I`m not joking if i say that the future of e-book development and industry depend on you as Sigil is the best e-book creator and editor ever made. I`m so happy that you choose to maintain this important project. Millions of books will appear and millions of users will be able to read in all possible devices and platforms because of your generous help. Thanks alot dear John for your efforts to help us millions of users whether book creators or even readers of the created books. Believe me John your name will enter history of e-book industry for maintaining and improving the best e-book creator and editor and with the best results and the most easy to use even for novices who do not know alot about html. Even the biggest e-reader companies or e-books companies did not bother themselves to produce easy to use and with best results e-book creator but sigil do it and in wonderful way. Sigil is a standalone application in its class without any competition even from billions dollars companies all that and it is free!!! Wish you all good luck and thanks alot Last edited by mohamedselim; 07-23-2011 at 02:30 PM. |

This is very, very good news. John has been a major asset to this community. This bodes well for Sigil and, by extension, MR.

Thank you everyone for the kind words of support. Currently I'm working on getting familiar with building and packaging Sigil. From there I plan to get the 0.4 release out the door. Then I'm going to focus on a hyper link editor and spell check. Those are the only features I'be decided to commit to for 0.5 so far. Hm... I had hoped that my name had entered the ebook history books from all the work I've done with calibre. Also for being the first to reverse engineer the eReader PDB format to the point of being able to create working output files. |
