Anyway I don't understand this, when registering in your local library you have to bring your ID, too. At least here.
I started again from scratch, changed my user name and was able to join. Big happy dance! So then I borrowed a book, it downloaded and opened into Adobe DE fine, but when I transferred it to my ereader.. it won't open. AARRRGGGHHH!!! Anyone got any ideas? Do I need another ADE for the library? i'm using my Mac, is it worth putting ADE onto our old clunker PC and trying from there? Or am I doomed never to use the Singapore Library?

Contact them direct - they are very helpful.

Also Philadelphia Free Library accept from overseas, cost I think (got mine just afore increase!) £35 p.a.

With Singapore, are you sure you got an ebook - 'cos I had trouble first time I got one, only to notice it was an audiobook !! Duh...

And go to the Forum Resources section for loads of sites, tips, etc..

Sorry, the only thing I know about Mac's is: they exist...

Search for posts of Bookworm_Girl, she has a Mac and has helped a lot of people here. She also owns verious devices, which helps.

Maybe this is helpful https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...ac+library+ADE

Otherwise I just recommend using the searchfunction.

Ah, I just thought of something. Is your reader registered with ADE?

Yes it is, I bought a book and transferred it to the ereader though ADE only a week or so ago. The books download from the library and open up in ADE on the computer, it's just getting them to the reader that's the problem.

Thanks for all the ideas, I'll keep plugging away. You'd think I had nothing to read.

Maybe I'll have to get another reader just for library books

Definitely ebooks and they open in ADE on the computer. I think it's at my end not theirs.
