New member/ereader owner
Well, I will be an ereader owner by the end of the day as the unit is out for delivery with UPS!
I have been considering an ereader for sometime, and in my research found this site. And it is awesome! The information and helpful, friendly members is refreshing. ![]() I don't know how much I will use the ereader or whether I will fall into the backlit vs. non camp, so I went with the basic Sony PRS-350SC. I really wanted the library option, and was all set to get a NYPL non-resident card...which is no longer available ![]() I'm an avid reader, and have a few favorite series that I read over and over: Oulander series by Gabaldan A Song of Fire and Ice by Martin (ADWD is pre-ordered!!) Sookie Stackhouse by Harris Riftwar Saga (and all that followed) by Feist Having a teenaged daughter, I've read just about every Vampire/Witch/Supernatural series as well...hey, some of them are good reads! But I'm always open to new authors/genres/series. Looking forward to being a part of a great forum! ![]() |

Most of the electronic reader screens fall into two groups: LCD and eink. Personally I preferr the LCD but thats a matter of taste. I have personally read some interesting series in the fantasy genre like you however i have a rather distate for the $10 cost of novels that seems to predominate these days, would rather pay less then that for books. Used to like Terry Goodkind until he got discovered and the costs of his novels went from $8 to $10, personally I would rather pay the $8.
There is a different Outlander series that I think of when I talk about Outlanders, its from Golden Eagle Library, a unit of Harlequin books. Its labled as written by James Axler but it really isn't. Could never seem to like Gregory Martin, his switching of points of view seemed to be too confusing to me. I might try out riftwar, however right now I am working on Harry Turledove, Southern Victory volume 2, American Front. |

Thanks for the welcomes!
I appreciate the welcomes.
![]() I found out the next county over from me participates with Overboard and they reciprocate with my county's library system. So I am eligible for a card! W00T! |
