What is it with people falling this week? There's not even any ice on the ground! Wednesday night a girl fell on a wet patch on the floor of the store (John had just been through with the scrubber), Friday I had to call an ambulance for a lady who fell in the store entryway (we think her flip flop got caught on the tracks where the doors slide), and tonight just as I was leaving a little girl was putting a cart in the cart corral for her mom and tipped it over on herself. She was wearing flip flops too, so maybe it's the shoes?

Anyway....argh.

Stupid mailman.
Someone rang the doorbell yesterday, I got my keys and was downstairs 20 seconds later but no one was to be seen so I figured it was a customer who realised we were closed (shop's closed on Mondays). Five minutes later I hear the mailbox and go downstairs to find a note telling me no one was home and I can pick up my package the next day after 10am

. Normally when there is a chance a package will be delivered on Monday I put up a sign, but I wasn't expecting this package until the second half of the week.

Filling in the complaint form *again*, we are well known at the complaints department. Hopefully my father won't mind me cycling over to pick up the package, otherwise I'll have to wait until Thursday.

She can't help breaking stuff - she's only a baby that weighs more than an adult cat

BUT

this morning

she jumped at a squirrel on the deck and tore out the lower left corner of the screen

it's going to be pricey getting that screen re-screened [I'm way too clutzy to do it myself]

I wonder if I should have the repair shop add rebar to the repaired screen?
I wonder if rebar would hold?

[If she keeps growing, we're going to have our own version of the Doritos's commercial where the little dog smashes into the glass door and traps the guy underneath.]

Sigh

She's only 7 months old.

Pooh, we had to get the old fashioned metal screening for our windows rather than the light stuff that's common now. Our cats would claw or push right through that light stuff, so it's not just Stella.

That's what I'm looking into. This screen has been patched from 3 cats growing up & climbing it! It's lucky it's still in one piece.

Oh, thanks so much for assuming I was up to no good!

Well, okay, I guess I've given you enough reason to make that assumption. But in this case, all is family-friendly. Green is one of my favorite colors - the other favorite is purple but I already found a nice purple polish. It's sandal season and I need to paint my toenails!
