What is the Jetbook+?

I have seen mention of the Jetbook+ on a number of forums. But I can't see any mention of this reader on the Ectaco web site.

The whole idea of an eReader with a reflective TFT screen appeals to me, but I would really prefer an eReader with a 6" screen instead of a 5" screen.

Are there any specs on the Jetbook+?

I currently have a Kindle 3 with a 6" eInk Pearl that's 800x600. I would love a 800x600 6" Reflective TFT.

ECTACO have showcased Jetbook+ on CES back in january and i've posted a hands on video. If you go to ectaco's facebook page you will see they are posting "teaser" pics of the JB+.. there is also the jetbook k-12 which is even more advanced. I'm not sure about the specs (and screen size) but ECTACO might start selling these later this year.

More info can be found in these threads:

From watching the video, it looks like the Jetbook+ is the same as the Libre Air. The Air only has a 5" screen. Im wondering if whatever chinese manufacturer makes the reflective tft screens only makes them in a 5" size.

This comes as a surprise to me. What makes you think that the K-12 is advanced? I thought that it was more of the same with high school reading and testing material enclosed.

Oh I like that video of the Jetbook+. I want one! But only if the wifi can be used to send personal documents to the device.

ETA- I looked at the FAQ for the Aluratek Libre Air (Which is pretty much identical to the Jetbook+ from what I understand) and I don't think this device will suit my purpose. Wifi is no good to me if it only works for the Kobo bookstore.

@GA Russell

May be referring to the K-12 color version.

Chinese manufacturer making reflective TFT screens

The manufacturer of the Aluratek Libre and Ectaco Jetbook/Lite is JINPO, and the screen is made by Toshiba.
