My Dad will make pots of regular tea extra strong and then store them in plastic water bottles in the fridge so that he can grab them when he wants one. I am not a huge fan of the plastic water bottles, I would prefer her reuse glass bottles or just make a pitcher and fill and go. If you do this you can still have your open and drink beverage for a while. I know people who make ice out of their tea as well. Fill the ice cube trays with tea. Then transfer the frozen tea into a container and store in the fridge. Your Ice Tea is less watered down and you can do it at the same time as you make large pots of tea to store in the fridge for an easy drink on the go. Maybe do this on a night that you are not busy and set yourself up for a few days. |

![]() ![]() It was the first time in my (and obviously my better 2/3s life) that we tried ginger medicine. She bought fresh ginger. Then cut off a well sized bit. Chooped it down into small bits, dropped into boiling water and left it to simmer for 15 minutes. The first concoction was thermonuclear. We drunk it as it was (mostly I did). After that we started to add a tea spoon of honey (if we can call this thick yellow liquid - honey) and a slice of lemon, which improved the situation. However, dear ginger, till next cold ![]() A cup of Wuyi Dark Rock roasted oolong. Fantastic oolong. 20 seconds and the cuppa is ready ![]() I have exchanged a few nice emails with the owner of The Chinese Tea Company. I think she is a very nice and smart lady ![]() ![]() |

astra,
my first impulse of having you back was ![]() Now that I followed the link to the Chinese tea house I have to say: Pas de retro, Satanas!!! I am broke and now I have to buy tea. I have, have, have to have the flower ball box and the pressed white tea sounds intriguing, too. I didn't even knew something like it existed. ![]() |

![]() I think they are very serious (regarding tea) couple. Her husband is handing the website and learning on the go. We have not decided on the summer holiday yet, but if we forgo all-inclusive, then we go for a few days to Edinburgh and for a few days to London. Then we definitely visit her tea tasting ![]() She said she might start a blog. It will be the first blog I would read and participate if I have anything wise to say, daily. |

This morning I decided to make a cup of tea to drink on the train instead of the usual coffee. And when I got to work, I didn't drink any coffee (yes, I'm trying to reduce my cafeine intake ... again

![]() ![]() What type do you drink? The one that is close to black tea, or green tea? (I guess I know the answer, but I am curious ![]() Quote:
I always thought, that the Caffeine withdrawal symptoms are in the head of the drinker. I stand corrected. Quote:

![]() Yes, I know that green tea has less of it but you cannot say it is non-caffeinated ![]() Funny enough, I think I have a withdrawal headache today. I didn't have any tea between 07.30 and 14.30. It started to subside only now, after I had two cups of Keemun ![]() My cup if empty at the moment because I finished the second cup of Keemun. The moment I click on Submit Reply, I am off to make another cuppa. Dunno what tea yet... ![]() P.S. Ah, I got SMS from my friend who is also our Postman, and he said I received the awaited tea parcel from The Chinese Tea Company ![]() Last edited by astra; 06-15-2011 at 11:01 AM. |
