I don't doubt it either. I've always said that if cats had opposable thumbs we'd all be in biiig trouble.

I have had cats that could turn water faucets on (but never off...) and I've seen cats that could open lever type doorknobs. So yes, Pooh, if you had those, I'm sure Stella would have mastered them already.

Sigh ... Stella is currently jumping at light switches on the wall ... another few weeks and she'll be able to jump high enough.
[did I mention we keep squirt guns in all the rooms?]

Her latest prank - she likes to lie on surge protectors/power strips - and "accidentally" flip the on/off switch. So far she's turned off the land line phone, my reading lamp, and the CD player.

yep, and sliding wood doors were super easy too. Ours would stick a paw under the door and lift it off the latch then just slide it open.

We used to have a cat that had figured out how to open the cd(rom) tray of both the hifi set and the computer. But her favorite game was to turn on the computer monitor. When the monitor shut off she would tap the mouse so it would switch on again, then she would wait 5-10 minutes until it switched off again and tap the mouse again.

I need a new bag because my cat destroyed my old trusted messenger bag (another thing cats don't seem to understand: bags are not to be used as scratching pole). I found this bag online, but I can't decide on the colour! What do you think: bold green or classic blue?

Yesterday I thought: definitely the green. But now I'm not so sure. The Navy one is a little more ... mature

Blue is a safe color. It would probably match with more outfits, but it is nice to be different once in a while.
