The Sony software I never installed. So, I use Calibre. And I first had a collection per series and one for all books order by author. But I didn't have a filtered lists for those books that aren't part of any series. So, I made a custom column, which will show the series if the book is part of one, or "Standalone Books" if it isn't. And create my collection based on that column instead of the series one.

I'd really love the ability to create sub categories on my Sony...

OK, to heck with that blasted brick. I just ordered a two row diamond cup ($50) for my son's 4½" Milwaukee grinder. Kind of a small tool to be using, but it's got to beat sanding with a brick.

The only reasonable explanation I can think of about why it was possibly made, is photography. It was made to be shot. As if the lady in your avatar steps out of the past, you know, the time when they dressed dramatically with tons of fancy clothes. <snip>
It is fun looking, huh? Not much use for rain nor wind. Sun use only with sunblock.

Soooo cute! Thanks for the pic and the link. I think Yum Yum is sweet also. I haven't read a "Cat Who.." book in a while, maybe I'll reread one.

It's too hot for all the effort with a brick. I hope it is much easier and faster with the grinder. Hopefully, it is balanced and doesn't make the grinder vibrate when you use it. We had to do an edge where the garage door closed and one of the ones we bought made the grinder vibrate so much it was hard to hold. We had to take it back and exchange it. Have fun!

I can sleep late tomorrow!

My parents are going to the Neil Diamond in Rotterdam tomorrow. Not only is one of the tunnels into the city closed because of a training of emergency services but there isn't any local public transport due to strikes. So everybody is coming by car, my parents leave around 3pm hoping to avoid the worst of the traffic. It means that I have to work tomorrow evening from 7 to 9, because of those extra hours I chose to start at noon instead of 10am.

My sister doesn't have to work tomorrow so we've decided to make it a girlie night. After 9pm we're going to get Turkish Pizza for dinner and maybe watch a movie (I'm thinking The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher, I really liked the novel).

Nikita would like to be Koko. She's part Siamese, but she's a scaredy cat; she doesn't like to be alone, doesn't like dark spaces (except for my closet), she's afraid of fluffy duvets and she's very clumsy.

Her new "thing" is that when she gets told off or something happens to her at night, when I've already gone to bed, she comes into my room, stands next to my bed, tells what has happened and leaves again. Earlier this week I was asleep and she woke me up by jumping on me to tell her story.

THE CRISIS IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got home and found Stella playing with a cat toy she had never played with before - and I forgot we even had - a catnip Santa Claus head. The reason? Stella had lost her favorite mousie! I looked everywhere, with her tagging along anxiously "helping" me. I looked under everything, behind everything .... even accused the older cats of flushing it.

Finally .... the missing mousie was located inside my rolled up exercise mat. Stella likes to push it on its side and use it as a tunnel.

Peace reigns again ... for now ...

Yes, I know how much fun surface grinders can be from using them to remove paint from the outside of submarines in 100° F weather (37° C) dressed in a paper coverall that doesn't breathe. I plan to take it slow and easy.

I stepped outside tonight after dinner to unload my new lawn cart from the back of my RAV - and almost collapsed. At 7 pm, the heat & humidity were so intense you break into a whole body sweat standing still. The air is extremely thick & still - barely breathable. No break until Tuesday (maybe). Will be doing my walking indoors for a while.

Oops. Sorry, I didn't realize that you were experienced. At least this will be easier than a submarine.
