I sew and I have made this awesome rig for her. It has a zip pocket for my phone, a pouch for receipts and coupons, pockets for credit cards and driver license and a loop for an ink pen. Load it up and I am armed for the day.

Contacts not only has my friends and family complete information including addresses for sending cards and packages, but I also have my car service, doctors, schools, favourite stores with addresses, phone numbers and hours with notes for things I need to do next time I visit.

The Calendar I use for all the usual stuff, but I want to tell you how awesome it is to just click on a day and jot "pick up dry cleaning" on the note side without having to pick a time slot and choose reminders and recurrences and whatever else before I can save it.

I keep a file open in MaplePaint called quicknotes. I just flip it open, unlock and jot down whatever while still walking unlike my iPad toting friends who have to invoke an awkward size keypad and assume the position.

We bought a fixer-upper house and I keep a journal for each room with notes, measurements, sketches, etc. When I am out and about if I see an item or decorating idea I snap a quick pic and tag it to that room.

I also have a perpetual grocery list in journal with pages for produce, dairy, meats, etc. I just add and remove items as needed.

I downloaded the Kindle app so now I have a choice of reading on the eInk or if light is low, use the LCD. I am addicted to the puzzle games, too.

Anyone who has ever used a Day Runner type organizer would absolutely fall in love with the PE. I kind of think they shouldn't have named it Pocket Edge - it wouldn't fit in any pocket I have. It's my Personal Entourage.

BTW - my daughter has an EE for school and absolutely loves it.
FYI, I use a shopping list app called "Out of Milk," which is quite good. The nice thing about using something like that rather than a journal list is that it saves frequently used items or whole lists that you might want to use again. I'm pretty sure it's available through SlideMe.

I'm guessing your car is gender-non-specific, too, then, lol How well can a lizard see, anyway...?

Of course the car is gender non-specific. You get what you pay for, and I paid $10 for it (seriously; and the state got its 36 cents sales tax, or whatever it was). If I wanted somethis more gender specific, I would have paid for it. But I live in New York city, and drive maybe once a month, so I'm willing to live with the ambiguity.

Lizards can see very, very well, thank you. Big bug eyes, you know.

She's modest, too, or at least indifferent to her popularity when I told her about it.

Thank you for this post!! Any chance you might post a picture of the rig you made? Or perhaps sell me one?? I intended to do a lot of what you do with my Pocket eDGe, but so far I mostly read books and play games on it, and am still using my too-small phone for shopping expeditions.

I am so glad someone got this. The EE is great for school, but the life organizing capabilities of the PE out of the box is incredible and I believe it should be marketed as such. There is not a 'tablet' (I use that term loosely because nothing out there is really a tablet) device on the market with the capabilities of the PE. Put the pics in for my Avi. Don't laugh too hard at the fabric as it is leftover from an upholstery project. I'm working on a new one using faux leather. I reverse the screens so I can cradle it in my left arm and write on the ink side. The band on the LCD side slides when closed and stops just between the buttons and screen when open.

Can you post a bigger picture? I like what I see, but want to see it more up close! Thanks!

Loved the pic of the gecko, prompted me to put up my $.02. I'm new here too, I just-just-got my (lightly used) EE because I wanted to carry my pdf'd sheet music library around and really didn't care about the company (possibly) going out of business. Been carrying binders for years, so this is a lifesaver. I hope this company stays in business and creates a new version with a true 8x11" e-ink screen, which would be even better.

I think there is a much bigger market for the EE. Just putting it on internet doesn't make you sell much. You've gottah go out. You've got to show people the possibilities, you gottah show them what you can do. And then you will sell much more of them. Publicity and going out.

Yes please, PsylverMom! I tried increasing the size on your avatar pic, but it just got all pixelated.

Franky, I agree! As consumers we may not be able to put the eDGes in stores to show, but we can write reviews on the websites that sell them, and demonstrate our own to anyone who's interested.
