downloading documents to go

hi entourage buddys, well i'm finally trying to download music, etc, to my pocket edge. here's what i did: i plugged in the usb cable & a message came up on my computers desktop saying it found new drivers, it said it was ready for use & it seemed to be trying to find android something or other. as i was on the PE it said you have to d/l the documents to go desktop application. i tried to e-mail myself the link but nothing happened. in the meantime, after my computer couldn't find the android something or other (don't remember the exact phrase) a dialog box came up on my desktop saying it couldn't find the android & do i want to select another option, so i clicked on cancel. i also closed out of the driver dialog box in the taskbar & pulled out the usb plug. then i read about mounting, unmounting. i'm so confused. can someone help me to please get me situated with all of this in more or less baby steps. like i mentioned before in another post this is all new to me. btw i have this on my PE screen which is what i was trying to do but got confused with the mounting usb. it says "download link for documents to go Desktop App, & it asked for my e-mail addy & under that it has Download link for documents to go desktop app & when i clicked it nothing happened. also i saved a copy of the dataviz.com/getDesktop to my desktop. do i have to d/l that first before anything. i'm so sorry for the long post. i'm really stuck. tia Goldy

just wanted to let you know that i figured it out. i got my pc & PE paired. it was a little work but i did it. thank you anyway. i just couldn't get my pictures folder to show up . when i clicked add folder the only choices it had was "desktop, documents, computer & network".

Hi Goldie, it is way easier to transfer pictures and music with dropbox. Install dropbox on your PC and on the edge, if you don't have an account yet it's free, and if you sign up through a link like mine http://db.tt/o3AkIk5 we both get extra storage space as a bonus. Your files are available after that on any computer or device that can sign in to the dropbox site, through a browser or the dropbox app.

Yes Goldie, your new Dropbox folder on your PC will have a file in there for info and the Dropbox site has clear info too. It's really very simple, any file in your Dropbox folder is available on line and in any other Dropbox you are signed into. Click my link and sign up, install on your PC; then go to apps from the edge store and install Dropbox on your edge. Sign in with your account and sync files.
