Calibre has long been a must have tool for me, and I couldn't see how it could get much better. Then you released 0.8 and showed me

I downloaded and installed the latest. Running W7-64 Special drivers: Logitech Trackball and Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard. Kbd changes: left/right arrow are page back/forward I load a book. I can use the keys mentioned to start. If I use the mouse to move things, the keys quit working. This can but not always occurs moving out and back to other apps. Also, I converted a PDF to MOBI. All double-L's were converted as L[space]. P.S. I viewed your tutorial (W7-64) without a problem Last edited by JKenP; 05-09-2011 at 01:48 PM. |

The new version is awesome. Adding (and now buying) books is getting better and better all the time. Between it and all the awesome new plugins, it feels like Christmas!

One small suggestion, some of the new windows don't remember their previous sizes, cover choser in particular. It would be nice if they remembered the last size they were changed to by the user. With all the fast-paced development going on, how do you all find the time to actually read some books!

I am able to see all the covers fully. Have you possibly chosen different fonts or icon sizing for your desktop?

I was playing more with the new book purchase feature and love it! Are there plans to implement right-click functionality (windows) so that I can select a book in the library (placeholder) and have it perform a search on that book without having to manually type in the title? It would be nice to be able to easily check prices on wanted items

I am really new at this so please bear with me and excuse me if this question has been posted and answered already. I routinely update to the newest version of Calibre when it is available. I recently tried to update from 0.7.57 to 0.8.0. Everything seems to work ok but when I restart Calibre after restarting computer it still indicates I am using 0.7.57 and an update is found for 0.8.0. Seems like the update is not taking. Any suggestions ?
