Cool! They even sell it on an automated delivery system, to keep the new pellets coming to you.
One commenter says it is less than ideal for diarrhea problems. (Sticks to the pellets) Any comments?
No, I don't have cats, just one shih tzu doggie. But I might again have some!

I don't use their pellets because Arwen had such bad diarrhea problems. I started with the wood pellets. I think the combination REALLY helps with any urine odor issues. when I first started using it, back when I had kindle kitten it was ideal with just the little plasticized pellets.

Hmm, I think the key phrase in that post is 'both of them were drinking at the time'.

I'm a dog person myself (I've 2 Airedale Terriers), but even with that I'd say it's totally worth it even having a cat or cats. About the only negative I'd say dogs or cats have is that they occupy so much of your life and consciousness, but of course this is also the greatest positive. Their behaviours are fascinating, their relationship unlike any human-human relationship, and there's a co-dependency that one gives in to willingly. They are my/our "pack".

Think of it like this: making a decision not to have a pet based on these things you have read here (noting that pet owners tend to comment most on the "negative", but almost always as a hard irony intended to highlight deep affection) is like saying "I've made the decision not to travel because packing sounds annoying and airline food sounds icky". Our negative "evidence" is selectively picked by us, and not to be trusted. We love our pets and what they give us, and the negatives are mostly an intended contrast to that.

Cheers,
Marc

that cat with the paper 'Fresco' looks just like Mr M, only Mr M does not poo in the loo. He won't even go in the litter box unless he is sick or an emergency.

He goes out when the sun comes up and has to be home at night. So I clean the litter box about once a year.

I know that I'd feel rather alone if I didn't feel a gentle paw patting my cheek in the morning, waking me to demand her treats. Soft mewing sounds, which really translates to GET THE HELL OUT OF BED AND GIVE ME FISH NOW! Home is where the cat is.

Although the furry alarm clock was VERY insistent this morning at 3.30 am. Wah wah wah. Burmese are quite loud. I suppose I am glad he is not Siamese! At least he didn't do the jump on the bed/wah wah cycle.

Felicity doesn't need to jump on a bed. We sleep on the floor. She just walks over, sits down, and gently pats our cheeks... first my wife's so she gets up and gives her some fresh tuna... then after my wife is done in the kitchen, she comes in and pats on my cheek until I get up and give her some crab meat. This is one very spoiled cat. I wouldn't have it any other way.

She sounds adorable. My Teddy Bear (a Yorkshire terrier) wakes me early. I lean over, open my bedroom door and he goes into the hallway where he lays on his little rug in front of my roommate's door so he can greet him when he wakes up. The roommate then takes him for his morning walk. Once the roommate leaves for work, Teddy Bear wakes me up again, and once I'm out of bed he goes into the living room, jumps on the couch and takes a nap.

He had company today, a Maltese named Buddy. They just about drove me nuts. Teddy and I both needed a nap when Buddy went home. It was cute watching them get to know each other, but my boy's not very social, so I had to keep a close eye on his patience level so I could remove Buddy if he got too overbearing. Teddy won't get mean or anything, but he gets distressed if he gets pushed past his comfort zone, and I didn't want to watch him pout the rest of the day. And boy, can he pout.

when the old lady upstairs farm cat passes (she is 17) Strider and Arwen will be potty trained. I have to keep a door closed between these two and her because they are way too rough with her
