Indeed. The first part of my relationship with Shel was 99% IM. The rare occasions we could talk on the phone were amazing. When you know someone exclusively online for a couple years you develop a real appreciation for the unspoken back-channel, let me tell you.

I dated a girl some time ago and when we were on our first date I came to talking about ebooks somehow (geekhow) and she said she's very much interested in the subject too. So I mentioned "mobileread" and she was like "Yay, I am a member too". That was the point that I said to myself - that's a successful first date .
Unfortunately things didn't work out in the long term but we are still talking occasionally and MR is a topic . And I don't know her username, so no outing
