Ours are indoor at the moment, and we are in a big quandry whether to ever let them out (we will microchip them first). I read a statistic recently that the avarage age of indoor cats (in the UK) is 15 years, and for the average outdoor cat it is 2! Frightened us a bit. My last cat, Dagny, was an outdoor girl, and she lived to 23, so who knows?

That last statistic (2 years average) derives from the tendency of outdoor cats to fight, develop infections, and then hide from their families and die - especially unfixed male cats; and from increased road traffic in all areas of the country posing a danger to un-street-wise cats.

My cats are micro-chipped too, but the collars are an extra safety investment in case they get loose and turned into a facility without a chip reader.

I'm contemplating taking Stella outdoors because she is growing so freaking big so fast I think she would benefit from the additional exercise and mental stimulation - and leave the other 2 older cats alone (who have absolutely NO interest in going outside - I can leave the deck door open and both will lie at the threshold and look out but not take a step outside).
I know this picture is poorly lit, but can you tell which cat is the 5-month-old kitten and which is the 6-year-old adult cat?

Thanks for the good wishes.When I work out how to send them to MR, which I will this week, I'll sent you some pics. I take my iPodtouch and that can email photo's but I have to figure the posting out. I can probably post on my Kindle, but no photo's.
Right now I'm making stacks of things to take (many different chargers and what-not), not many clothes as women must be covered so I bought two ugly jackets with long sleeves........I'll be incognito with a veil as well.
Two ereaders, in case one gets defect and I'll go mad without my reading.
I bought a bigger suitcase after my last holiday, so it will be alright, I think. I want to buy a new lamp in Iran for my study, so I need some space. Perhaps a litte carpet...........not expensive over there. 6 days to go......

I think Stella's on the left, as that is female colouring - they are both very similar to our two, Minx and Brick!

I can take pictures with my Android phone, and I can post on MR with my Android phone. What I CAN'T seem to figure out is how to post a picture on MR directly from my phone. It wants me to specify the file location on my computer, and I can't seem to point it to the gallery on the SD card of my phone.

Which site are you using?

Main: www.mobileread.com or Mobile: www.mobileread.mobi

I can't seem to upload attachments to a post using the Mobile or Main site using my android phone.

It's a PITA but a workaround is to upload a photo to one of my albums using the Main site then copy the IMG URL and paste it to any post/reply using either the Main site or the Mobile site.
