Need Help With Installation

Hi, I'm new to calibre. I am trying to install for 1st time. Dialog box during set up says "determining disk space, can take up to 5 minutes". I waited 20 minutes and the install is still determing disk space. I tried to reboot and redownload calibre, but the same thing occurred second time. Can anyone help? Thank you.

What OS are you installing on (I'm guessing Windows)? How old is your computer? Which Calibre version are you trying to install?
The "determining disk space" phase has traditionally taken a long time due to the type of files Calibre is made up of, but has recently improved quite a bit due to some restructuring. If you're trying to install the lastest release on a moderately modern computer, it shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes at most.

Other things that affect installation speed:
1) Anti-virus software (overly) aggressiveness setting
2) other CPU/bus intensive programs running (games, video, file shares...)
3) Small RAM size (IMHO s/b >640M for XP, >1.5G Vista) to reduce VM usage

Thanks for the help guys, I just had to reboot the computer with the software. It's working now.
