Leather Case for JBL -- $10
If you got a Jetbook Lite and regret not getting the leather case, they are now available at Newegg for $9.99 (free shipping and handling to the contiguous United States).
I got my JBL with a leather case as part of a package deal. I don't know if I would have gotten the case if I'd had to buy it separately, but I find that I use it all the time. I find it convenient and it seems to provide at least a little protection. |

I wish they'd offer NON-leather cases.

I think it's sad that the JBL is going away. I agree that everyone with a JBL should have the slip case as well.
Thanks for the heads up, Cromag! |

I assume that this would also fit the Aluratek Libre Pro. Is that right?

You can see the cut-out for the battery bump (AKA, "finger grip") at this page.
This is a returned case that they're selling. Prices change quickly, but as I write this the "Open Box" case is $5 with free shipping to most US addresses. Of course, my $10 spare case just arrived. |

Even if the $5 "open box" slip-on case had a blemish you could possibly cover it up with
this sort of thing: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=125802 Luck; Ken |

I really like the cover! Its much easier to use than my zipper case, and the JBL feels very well protected in it.
I can't remember what's best to do with the JBL, turn it off, or let it fall asleep? What do you folks do? |

Well, I generally turn it off, it goes on and off pretty quickly and it goes right back to the book I was reading when I turned it off, a feature I wish was in the Kobo reader.

Yes, it is very quick that way. It starts up quicker than my Kindle (unless my kindle is open to a book, then they start up about the same speed).

I like this case. Feels and looks like leather, smells close to leather. May be real leather, close enough. Snug fit. I like it. It's certainly better than the purple velvet Crown Royal bag I previously used.
9.99 at newegg, a good buy for sure. Joe |

You can invert the case and put it over the JBL. The opening for the bump lets the screen through perfectly.

battery cover/handle could be made up by adding a textured surface to that part of the back of the device. Liquid Tape or Dip-It handle stuff could be painted on. Maybe a couple of beads laid down by a glue gun? The Mink Oil that I rubbed into mine seems to think it's leather. Luck; Ken Last edited by Ken Maltby; 05-19-2011 at 11:47 AM. |
