There is really no one left of our family except my sister and me. And she ruined all of hers and the giant antique cabinet it was in when she burned down her house. We plan to move to a smaller place on the beach in about 2 years, so i have been de-cluttering lately.

The china cabinet is a hand-painted antique that i've loved for my whole life, so i will be keeping it. But all of those dishes are going to have to go. I certainly dread trying to find a buyer to take them to good homes.
oh I love that glass ware! there are quite a few antique shops in the area here and I was drooling over a rose set a week or so ago!

my mother insisted on foisting off a great deal of her old clothes on me (including maternity clothes!). some were good enough to keep, but others just didn't make the grade. additionally I have a much larger bust than my mom ever did. I got rid of one cocktail dress in particular that she still harps about!

when I give things to my kids, they are given! done! the only caveat is if they ARE family heirlooms, I tell them they need to check with their sibling and then cousins, and then me before parting with them forever

I feel custodial about the heirlooms, but have no one to pass them to. My nieces and nephew are related by marriage on Tim's side, so they are meaningless to them.

and your sister does not want them? or you were instructed not to give them to her? I suppose you could sell them and split the profit with her.

Is the pink depression glass the Madrid pattern by chance, DG?

It's larger than I would like, all gaming computers are, but at least it's pleasant to look at.

It isn't an MSI computer, the store has a whole series of gaming computer all using a Cooler Master case. I prefer my cases to be black, preferably matte. I love my current Gigabyte case except for the power LED which is blue. I put a couple of layers of matte tape over it to make is less blinding. This looks like a nice casing. Although I don't know if it can overheat easily with all the soundproofing.

I have an older Antec Sonata III case with larger slots; I ended up removing the front door and removing a drive bay cover to get more air through without more fan noise.

But what if yesterday you weren't worried about today, but today you are worried about yesterday and tomorrow you'll be worrying about today.

I'm a little confused now, I think a little lay down is in order.

Well let's see: They are not labeled "High-end PC" but "Gamer-PC" so they are NOT meant to be bought by mentally sane computer users, in need of a computer capable of [

B]more[/B] than running Freecell, Minesweeper, Word, and a browser suitable for getting trojans*) while browsing pr0nsites.

*)
Spoiler:
Yes, some are just smarter than us - they used and know now, that Trojans are Americas #1 brand. So a site with pr0n and trojans IS safe.

A Gamer-PC is meant for gamers, that is for all these

Spoiler:
1337 k3w1 gaming kiddies haXX0rZ, which would rule us SO much in CS or WoW, coz their fragcoun7, or l3v3l is so much higher than our U know.
They need all these kewl built-in leds'n'stuff for the next LAN-party.

The kids don't compare lengths no more
since pr0nsites made their members sore.
But 'cause they think it's must for true men;
they now compare by using lumen.

*sigh* how DO I miss the times when PCs were grey, a mouse optional, and literacy a requirement for the operators.

LOL, but a lot of high end computers also have casing with multicoloured LEDs. The store I want to buy my computer from only has a small selection of non LED infested casings and of those most are the cheap ones made mostly out of plastic (yes, I'm very picky when it comes to my computer's appearance ). The only thing that is positive about the gaming casings is that they usually offer great ventilation.

Even my "toaster" case has LED's. I don't think you'll find one without them these days. I do sympathize, I'm picky about how my computers look too. I keep refusing to let Chris upgrade mine (add water cooling) because I like my little case and don't want to change it.
