Why are most so-called gaming computer ugly?! I don't want a casing with LED lights that light it up like a Christmas tree. I emailed the computer store to ask if it is possible to alter/upgrade their gaming systems when ordering (different casing, faster HDD).

Today, CNN headlines:

The copy goes on to read;
(CNN) -- Heightened radiation screening on flights arriving in the United States from Japan has triggered several low-level alerts.
An American Airlines plane that arrived at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport from Tokyo on Wednesday created a blip on equipment being used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection to screen inbound flights for radioactivity.

But it's not until the sixth paragraph that they say;
"No aircraft entering the United States has tested positive for radiation at harmful levels," according to a CBP statement Thursday."

The flight was carrying medical isotopes, being sold to US hospitals, but that doesn't make for such hot headlines...

Is it any wonder that I receive 5-10 e-mails a day from people believing that everyone in Japan now glows in the dark!

Yeah, unfortunately my wife, being a compulsive hoarder, hasn't thrown anything away in the 25 years that I've known her. Oh; and yes, she still has her mother's china.

Yous guys are right, but i am sort of stuck with it all. I have inherited everyone's china and glass, i suppose because i love it. I have my great-grandmother's pink rose depression glass, my Granny's china and antique serving set from antebellum times, my mother's golden rose depression glass collection, milkware from the 30's, and my own wedding china. I use it often, but not every day. My china cabinet is so full that you can't actually see the pretty dishes, but just piles of dishes.

There is really no one left of our family except my sister and me. And she ruined all of hers and the giant antique cabinet it was in when she burned down her house. We plan to move to a smaller place on the beach in about 2 years, so i have been de-cluttering lately.

The china cabinet is a hand-painted antique that i've loved for my whole life, so i will be keeping it. But all of those dishes are going to have to go. I certainly dread trying to find a buyer to take them to good homes.

When I was looking a couple of months ago, I ran into the same problem. They are absolutely hideous. If this thing is going to be visible in my home, there's no way I'm going to have something that hideous messing with my home's chi. Fortunately, I found this one. It's larger than I would like, all gaming computers are, but at least it's pleasant to look at.

I used to feel compelled to hold on to items from my mother and grandmother. I finally realised that their stuff is not them and if I'm not using it, it's not enhancing my life. I thought it would bother me after I got rid of most of their stuff, but it makes me feel lighter and more free. Turns out it was weighing down my life more than enhancing it, just like any other items that I need to get rid of.

Speaking of which! I just remembered that they're picking up bulk trash tomorrow!! I need to get stuff to the curb!
