It took the cop banging on the guy's window with his flashlight before he roused. Then he told the cops his wife was in the store (he doesn't HAVE a wife, that any of us are aware of, none of us has ever seen him with a woman or with anyone else). I told the cops as much and that he was banned and why. Last I heard, he was yelling at the cops and they followed him out of the parking lot.

AH, fun times working retail.

Glad it wasn't worse. And at least the cops responded!

man, i really do not like my law professor. according to my classmates, she has no grade reference, so when she fails you, she has no proof to show you (which is probably why her students file a grievance against her every term). she also used to bring a cross inside class. she's also 30 mins late every time. i was so upset i cursed her while talking to my friends in class, and two girls in front just stared at me like i was the evil person >_> whatever. they're young anyway

What do you mean, she brought a cross into class? Like a giant cross that just sits there??

i think a sort of handheld cross. my classmates were saying that she was sort of waving it around.

very weird stuff.

oh, and she "guesses" grades.

She sounds like a nightmare. Can you withdraw to save your GPA?

Ooh, a place for ranting!

... actually I just have one, at the moment. I live in an apartment with 2 other women, and one of them insists upon, with her boyfriend, constantly talking in the loudest, most obnoxiously fake "British" (we're in good old Georgia, USA) accent I've ever heard. They keep this up for hours, and it's about to drive me bonkers. I've had to stop myself a couple times from saying Do you guys never talk NORMAL?

i can't D: only 2nd year students are allowed to drop, and i'm on the last term of my 1st year. i only hope that she has a favorable memory of me when she guesses my grade

and i will never take her again. i also advised my friends not to take her. i wonder she's even being kept on by the school. we have tons of lawyers here. you'd think a few better ones could have applied for the position.

I think the volume would bother me more than the accent. One time when I was working in Staten Island, NY I started talking with a fake southern accent because 2 of my co-workers had just moved from there. Everyone couldn't believe how down pat I had the accent. I informed them that my parents are from the Carolinas so, I grew up hearing it from them and my relatives.

After doing it for over an hour, I tried to stop talking w/ a southern accent... and I couldn't! I was stuck! Of course then they started laughing at me. So I stopped talking to "reset" my brain. It was the weirdest thing. I had no idea that was even possible. Needless to say, I never talked w/ an accent for that long of a period ever, again!

i know the feeling! when i speak in another language for a long period of time, it's like i can't get back into speaking the local language again, and i have to stop for a bit and let my brain catch up
