Almost midnight, but I wanted a cup of black tea.
Taylors of Harrogate's Pure Ceylon.

Yesterday I received one of the two new strainers I ordered.
Fantastic strainer. The metal mesh is very fine indeed.
I would recommend it to anybody who needs a good quality tea strainers.
It is available in 3 sizes. I bought the middle one.

I am waiting for another one, but it will take because it comes from the USA. No sources in the UK

Find a ring, ( find a ring . . . ) and put it round, round, round,
And with ties so strong the two hearts are bound,
Put it on, ( put it on . . . ) the one you found, found, found,
For you kno’ that this is really love! ( . . . this is really love! )

Good Sunday, everyone! Now that Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday have been seen, we've all given our weekly thanks for being and requests of forgiveness , to whom so ever it is that we should be thanking, and can get back to the business of lying, stealing, cheating, and generally being humans in preparation for next week's days of atonement. Cycles. Ya gotta love 'em. Did I wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?

Drinking Taylors of Harrogate's English Breakfast tea with my rice and miso soup, and getting myself psyched up for a horrible day dealing with car sales men. It is NOT my preferred choice of activities!

Astra, even when it cools down, there isn't very much taste to it. Just enough to cover the bleakness of boiled water.

I drank a lot of this when we lived in Thailand, but never developed a great liking for it. It always reminded me of monkeys and weasels for some reason...

How does that measure up?

Coincidence? I was just looking at a rack of them at the local home center yesterday! Not as sophisticated as the one in your image, but there must have been 10-15 different sizes and shapes, from single cup to large tea pot. Basket, clam-shell, dipper, etc. I almost picked one up, but then realized that I'm waaaaay too lazy these days. The thought of having one more thing to wash up after using stayed my hand. I'll stick with the silken paper bags. The Tea-pot size are large enough to let the leaves expand, and then I can just throw them away afterwords.

And now another mug of English Breakfast tea... just to put off having to talk to car salesmen....

Another mug of my new Ceylon Uva! I'm now convinced I really like this tea!

We had lunch at the corner 'kaitenzushi' shop (sushi conveyor belt place) and this time I took a photo of their tea. I really like it, but my wife says it's really low quality macha. That's probably WHY I like it!

Good morning!

Sunday! 09.43 and I am still in bed with the first cup of tea, Assam Hazelbank. Yummy
Almost as good as Saturday morning, although not quite. Some clouds above the horizon because I know it is the last one for the next 5 days. Why think about it now with a wonderful cuppa in my hand? I better enjoy it while it lasts

Apparently not, since I started it with a slimline version of rant too. Something in the air probably

Not even 07.00? Why so early on Sunday morning? Don't tell me the hormones are playing up again.

Yes, this is common among shu pu erh teas that haven't been processed/stored optimally.

On thing you can try is to break it up and put it in fresh air, but in some cases that doesn't help either.

Perhaps I'll have to order some, although I am REALLY enjoying this Japanese purveyor's Ceylon Uva. It may be the best Ceylon I've tried.

Re: Bombay Sapphire... Do you drink it with tonic?
No. I use a tall 8oz glass, half filled with ice cubes, and fill the glass to 3/4 with the Bombay Sapphire. After giving a quick stir, it's just the right setting for me.

The high quality matcha that is used for the formal Tea Ceremony, the Cha-No-Yu is a very bitter tea (to me.) But this stuff, and the matcha that is used for ice cream here, is a very mild tea but still with some nice flavor. When I first came to the Orient I had a beautiful tea bowl, a bamboo whisk, and a nice pot. I used to put some Koto music on the player ,sit in the middle of my floor and do 'my version' of the tea ceremony. Then I discovered that I really did prefer black tea and at that to just chug it down like a beer. Good stuff.... ARgggggg!

Hello Miss Tee, welcome to the MobileRead drinking society. Won't you sit down and tell us about your favorite teas. Although I don't love pu-erh teas myself, there are several folks here who are positively pleased with the touchas!

Welcome as well from a coffee-drinker who loves to read about tea, so be sure to post some lengthy referrals.
