My nephew brought me some loose "green mulberry tea" from Thailand. I've googled it and found some ads but nothing from anybody who has tried it. Anybody know anything about it? It's just mulberry with no actual tea, of course.

But pdurrant: one goes all sweaty from heavy gardening? Perhaps you should take some extra, or Coke zero with lemon (yum).

![]() I am very surprised that I liked Chai. I usually like only straight teas. I was 95% sure I would not be able to drink it. Even one cup. I was fully prepared to make 2-3 sips and pour the rest to the sink. I just could get Chai our of my mind. Whenever I saw a bag of Chai, I wondered what it tastes like. I absolutely had to try it. I just finished eating buckwheat. Erm. I mean drinking it. Or drinking then eating? Yes. The last definition is the most appropriate. Sobacha is odd. Do I love it? No. Do I like it? Hmm... difficult to answer. Probably I don't like it enough to order it again, besides ordering it is not a trivial thing. All prices I have seen were in $ so far. I would say it is like Lapacho. Not in flavour, but in a sense that it is a nice late cup of warm drink/tisane when you are in a bed with a book and don't want any stimulants. The flavour is pleasant. The aroma is ...of a roasted buckwheat ![]() ![]() Buckwheat is almost unknown in the UK. Very few people are aware about it. With many Polish workers in the UK, we have got Polish shops. As a consequence we can buy buckwheat now. We like it for the main meal. It goes well with any meat and it is supposed to be a healthy type of food vs. potatoes, pasta, etc. A very popular food in the former Soviet Union. Although, it is a popular food I have never ever heard about buckwheat tea ![]() ![]() Sobacha is nice. If I run out of Lopacha, I might resort to the Sobacha instead ![]() |

I'm on my last cup of the coconot & pineapple. It's good, but not good enough to drink a whole pot in one go.

I always let my coffee get cold; I'll drink from the same coffee the whole day. After dinner I get myself some new coffee, which lasts me the evening.

Mini Pu-Erh Tuocha Fortnum & Mason.
Test 1. Water temperature 90°. 1st infusion. rinse 20sec rinse 20sec infusion time 2min Earthy flavour is next to none. Otherwise nice cooked Pu-Erh. 2nd infusion. infusion time 3min Flavour is as strong as in the first infusion. I suspect that I might infuse it at least 2 more times. Unfortunately, I am like Iridal cannot drink the same tea in such quantities. I like them to be different. NBTea sells Tuocha vs. mini Tuocha I infuse now. I would say mini is exactly half size of standard tuocha. Last edited by astra; 03-05-2011 at 05:41 PM. |
